WHY?
For as long as I can remember, I have been a giver. A giver who found through gifting the capacity to create, to communicate and to celebrate deep feelings. To me, gift giving is a process that is not just about crafting the most inspiring ideas, nor can it be limited to life’s most joyous occasions, but one that wraps up in itself the value we have for relationships of any kind, no matter the reason or season. It is a commitment that speaks to the essence of the recipient. It is the impact that truly enables in one’s heart the capacity to sing. It is an experience that is all about the details. I owe this gift for giving to my mother, who has always found memorable ways to surprise me, regardless of the struggles she was facing. Her gifts didn’t need to cost a fortune, it might very well have been a little trinket, but what made all the difference was her authentic approach and the purpose behind it — to see my face light up, to make my day a little (or a lot!) brighter and to speak to my soul in a way that said — I love you and you are important to me. Over the years, I have given a lot gifts of all kinds, gifts that went above the expected, gifts that even today are being remembered and complimented, and yet I didn’t see my calling. Not until my children developed their own hype for gift giving using their toys, when I finally knew. That’s when I solidified the decision to embark on a journey that helps you embrace the fact that every gift is a reflection of you.
